Tia's Tips for Exploring Shkoder

 Best way to explore Shkoder is by bicycle – they call it the Amsterdam of the Balkans!

Local currency is Lek, but everybody loves Euros too.

Locals get excited if you greet them – just say “Tjeta juj”!

Best time to visit Rozafa Castle is in the afternoon, for the views and sunset. They say its 2400 years old – it’s actually much older.

Tap water is drinkable almost everywhere around Shkoder.

We’ve definitely forgotten something here, but we’ll tell you once you join us!
